hi everyone and welcome back
to another review from the ultimate tech
hub
today we're going to take a look at a
solar induction light
we'll install it and review it and we'll
be installing the one on the left
the zero four zero five model and our
install location is above our pool
equipment
it gets very dark at night so perfect
location
let's take a quick look at the features
once again this is the model we'll be
installing
and this model has three light modes
a motion sensor mode
a strong light sensor mode
and a dim long light mode
and charging time is about eight hours
and this really depends on the location
of your light
and the amount of sun that this solar
panel will get
so keep that in mind let's open the box
and see what's inside
okay first you get some instructions
and here's the light kit it looks like
it's all in one piece
and i like that okay let's take a quick
look at the light
okay first we see the big solar panel
for charging the battery
and the entire light can rotate up and
down like this
pretty cool
and this bracket with the three holes is
the mounting bracket
simply remove the mounting bracket
attach it to the wall
and then attach the light to the
mounting bracket and this light kit has
three lights and the side lights rotate
up and down
and left and right and these lights feel
pretty solid and durable
and the larger center light has the
motion sensor
right here and this light kit has 70
leds
on the back is the mode button and it's
pretty bright
however the battery is not fully charged
yet we're going to mount this outside
and get a full charge and then we'll
test it
and these are the mounting screws with
the anchors
and here's the instruction manual and
remember the light kit we're going to
install
is the one on the left and this right
here shows the detachable support
bracket
and this is all the basic information
installation
light mode features and troubleshooting
removing the bracket is very easy it
slides on and off pretty easy
right there see
and like i said before there's three
holes to attach this to the wall
and this is everything you get with the
solar induction light kit
alright guys here's the location for our
solar light
the solar panel will face due west
and we'll get lots of sun
and this area below the light which is
our pool pump
gets very dark at night so really this
is a great location
and this kit comes with four screws and
four wall anchors
and we're gonna go ahead and install
this bracket into the wood
so no anchors are needed for this
install
you'll need a ladder a cordless drill
some different size drill bits
a phillips head attachment and that's it
and always make sure to be safe on
ladders so the first thing i did
was attach the bracket with the middle
hole first
and then i drilled and attached the
other two screws
and that's it next attach the solar
light to the bracket
and then you're done and now let the sun
charge the light and we're going to test
out all three modes for this light
so here's the first mode this is motion
sensor mode
this light is pretty bright and this
light mode
will provide enough light so that i
won't trip over the pool equipment
at night this light mode turns on at 100
brightness
and will turn off in 20 seconds after
people have left the area and this is
mode 2 strong light sensor mode
once again when the sensor is triggered
the light is at 100 percent brightness
and then the light goes to 10 brightness
and remains that way for 20 seconds
after people leave
however the light never really turned
off it just stayed dim
until someone walked by and then it got
bright again
and here's the third mode dim long light
mode
and this mode is the lowest light
setting
and even though it's a low light mode
it's actually pretty bright
as you can see and this mode is at 30
percent brightness
and will stay on all night so these are
my final thoughts on the solar induction
light kit this solar light does a great
job
lighting up the area by my pool pump
before i install this light
i would constantly trip over the pool
equipment at night it was frustrating
but now no problem i can see my pool
equipment easily
and i like all three modes but mode one
is my favorite
alright guys as far as the review goes
the install is very easy i like all
three modes
it provides a lot of light and you can
angle the lights to a wide area
and for these reasons we definitely
recommend the solar light kit
it's a very easy install and the lights
perform well
