this is a 9 led 80 foot
multi-color light kit from in brighton

so after putting our pool in we decided
to put some
lights on our back wall to accent the
pool
and we decide on led lights because it
gives us the most variation in colors
and this light kit has up to 16 colors
so what exactly comes with this light
kit well first you get the lights
you also get stakes so you can attach
the lights to the ground
what's nice about these lights is
they're all attached together
one long piece you just plug it in and
you're good to go
these led lights are contained in all
rubbed bronze metal housing
they do feel pretty solid and on the box
it says commercial grade
with a lifetime led guarantee and this
light
kit comes with a remote and this is
probably the best part of this light kit
because this remote allows for a ton of
customization
this remote uses two aaa batteries
which are included with the light kit
[Music]
here's the location of where i'll start
my lights
i have an electrical outlet at the end
of this retaining wall
and that's where i'll plug in my lights
and my plan is
to run this light kit all the way down
my retaining wall which is about 80 feet
i want these leds to accent the palm
trees
which will look beautiful at night so
we're going to start our run
right there by the outlet first thing to
do is unbundle the lights
between each led light is about 10 feet
of cord
and that 10 feet of cord is bundled with
twisty ties
in the length of cord from the plug to
the first led
is about 22 feet and this is nice
because if your outlet is not close
to your location then this 22 feet of
cord should be plenty of length
however you could use an extension cord
if you needed it
so first thing i did was plug it into
the outlet
[Music]
and next i'll start placing the leds
i'm going to put an led by this tea leaf
plant first
and then i'm going to run these leds all
the way down the wall
my plan is to place each led under each
palm tree
and i'm going to alternate the angle of
each light
so the first led will be the spotlight
for the plant
then the second led will be an accent
light
but before i do that i'm going to go
ahead and run the lights all the way
down the wall
just placing the leds kind of where i
want them
then i'll go back and stake them down
permanently
[Music]
and then after that i'll bury the wires
under the rocks
and guys if you're looking for more
videos on outdoor lights
[Music]
like solar lights and motion sensor
lights
i've got those videos on my channel so
be sure to check those out
[Music]
okay now the last led is placed
and we can go ahead and stake these
lights down to the ground
and then we'll bury the wires under the
rocks
so on the bottom of each led light
are two notches and this is where you
insert the stake
so insert the stake into the notch for
the required angle
spotlight or accent light the third
option
is a pathway light but because this is a
retaining wall
we won't need pathway light we want
spotlight and accent light
[Music]
and now all nine leds are set with the
alternate configuration
spotlight and accent light it should
look amazing
now it's time to bury the wire
underneath
the rocks hiding that's it it's easy
so here's a time lapse of me burying the
wires under the rocks
[Music]
and we're all finished and it turned out
great
you can't see the wires and the leds
look really good
now let's take a look at the lights at
night and i'll show you a few of the
modes on the remote
first thing we'll do is go over the
basics of the remote
the on off button below that is fade
dimming and strobe and below that
you can set a two color pattern with
color one
and color two the next button is mode
and this has various preset color modes
like red white and blue st
patrick's day and festive colors like
christmas
the next two buttons are timers you have
a two hour timer and a four hour timer
and these are your 16 color variations i
also found that i could use the remote
from inside my house
to make all the light adjustments from
the comfort of my couch
pretty cool so let's talk about the
price of the kit
and the overall value this light kit
retails for around 230 dollars
which is not cheap and if you're looking
for a budget led light kit
then this kit is not the one for you
however
if you're looking for an led light kit
that will give your backyard or
front yard a beautiful look and a light
kit you can use year round
which has preset colors for christmas or
st patrick's day
and has 16 colors and allows for 120
possible color combinations
then this light kit should be the one
for you with the ease of setup
and customizable for any space and with
the leds being waterproof
and energy efficient this kit should be
an easy choice
and the only downside to this kit is the
price
but can you put a price on beauty i
don't think so
there'll be a link in the description
below to where you can buy this light
kit
