In this guide, we will walk you through the essential settings and playback functions in Reolink Client software. Learn how to customize camera names, adjust video quality, and effectively use playback features for surveillance footage.
Once you launch the Reolink Client software, the home screen displays all connected cameras. If you want to rearrange camera positions, simply drag and drop them to your preferred layout.
The Playback tab allows you to view previously recorded footage from your cameras. Follow these steps to access playback:

To review footage from specific days, use the calendar on the right panel. Days with recorded events are marked in orange.
For playback to work, you need an NVR (Network Video Recorder). We recommend a 2TB NVR system, which provides ample storage for recording multiple cameras over extended periods.

Under the "Encode" tab, set the stream type to "Clear" for the best video resolution. The "Video Info" tab allows you to adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation.
The Playback tab is essential for reviewing recorded footage. Select a camera, drag it to the viewer, and use the timeline to locate events. Motion-triggered events are highlighted in red for quick identification.
The playback controls include play, stop, frame-by-frame navigation, and fast forward (1x to 16x speed). The calendar feature lets you view footage from specific dates marked in orange.
To store video recordings, an NVR system is required. A 2TB NVR provides sufficient storage for multiple cameras and extended recording periods.
