hi everyone and welcome back to the
ultimate tech hub
on today's episode we're going to
replace a plastic flagpole holder
that's broken this flagpole holder broke
during a heavy windstorm
so we're going to replace it with an
aluminum flagpole mount
from a company called viki and the cost
for this mount was only nine dollars
about four months ago we did an
installation video
on how to mount a flagpole to your house
and here's the link to that video
this new mounting bracket comes with a
bracket
three screws and three wall anchors this
bracket has a bolt on the side
to lock in the pole this flagpole mount
has three holes for installation
however these holes are not the same as
the one on the plastic
we'll have to re-drill a couple holes no
big deal
so first we're going to remove the old
bracket
next we'll attach the new bracket to an
existing hole
i'm going to use the top right then
after a test fit
make sure the mount is straight then
drill in the remaining two holes
use a small bit you want the screws to
go in tight
after attaching all three screws to the
mount
you can go back and hand tighten with a
phillips head screwdriver
just to make sure it's really good and
tight
and that's it it's time to hang the flag
looks great let's take a quick look at
the plastic mount
and see where it broke this is the
danger in buying a plastic mount
you can see it broke at the top right
and i had a feeling this would happen
eventually
but just not this quickly this plastic
mount
lasted only four months however this new
mount
should last for years so guys if you
have a plastic mount that breaks
just follow these steps to replace it
and there'll be a link in the
description below
to where you can buy this aluminum mount
well guys we're all done here and as
usual i want to thank you guys for
