Where to Buy: You can purchase the LinkRunner AT3000 using the product links below.

the number one network cable tester that you need could be this one right here could be and we're going to find out this is the link runner at3000 from NED Ally the at3000 includes a whole host of features including Poe testing a comprehensive auto test cable test link speed test ping testing and fiber testing and there are a plethora of other features and we'll check them all out I'm Michael Scott and this is the ultimate Tech Hub this is the link Runner at3000 kit which includes the L rat 3000 in the holster like that pretty nice it can attach to your belt right here so it's great on the go and the holster does feel rugged and thick so it should keep your tester safe from damage and it also includes this case with the strap on the back and inside includes all the acut tront and this includes six ethernet Maps one SFP transceiver module and inline coupler it also includes the power supply with various connectors for different countries so you can use the tester anywhere in the world and lastly you get the quick start guide and that's it so this kit contains everything you need to test ethernet and fiber however the one thing this kit does not include is the USB Wi-Fi adapter that connect next right here this allows the at3000 to connect to the internet however it's not a very big deal that adapter is $20 on Amazon so now the fun part let's get to testing so first let's take a look at the auto test feature to run this test simply connect any ethernet cable from your network and plug it into the top of the tester then next click on to the auto test icon and then click on start the auto test takes about 10 seconds to run this feature includes includes a fast eight-step auto test including link speed and duplex which can detect speeds up to 10 gigs it also warns when the negotiated link speed is less than the advertised speed this test also includes 802.1x authentication and will discover the nearest switch slot or port and includes VLAN identification and monitor that shows traffic distribution of top V lands you'll also find DHCP service testing including cluding DHCP options and breakdown of response time you will also get a DNS test measuring the response time of an actual URL lookup it will also show Gateway availability and responsiveness and this auto test also validates loaded Poe performance to 90 watts and lastly you'll get a ping or TCP Port connectivity test to unlimited userdefined Targets this auto test feature is the most comprehensive test I've ever seen seen in any network cable tester and one more thing about this test you can click on to each test result to get a more comprehensive and thorough look at the test if there is only one feature you could use on this tester it would have to be the auto test feature hands down and by default you'll get a link speed test your switch ID DHCP address DNS Gateway and your ping however you can add or remove any of these tests it's fully custom customizable if you go to the auto test settings you can see the wired profiles and you can add as many as you want for instance you could have a wired profile for a Poe test or for a fiber test there's even a feature that allows you to charge this tester via a Poe connection pretty cool and to test the versatility of the at3000 we tested all ethernet cable types from cat 5e all the way to cat 8 and we even tested at different links as well and the at3000 performed perfectly and all of these ethernet cables were provided by sat maximum your One-Stop shop for highquality ethernet cables and installation tools if you require premium ethernet cables and connectors at a discounted price then sat maximum is the only choice and all of the product links will be listed below and we may include an additional discount code so keep an eye out thank you again to sat maximum before we go any further let's talk about the link link live icon this allows you to set up an account with link live you'll simply set this up with an email and password and then from here you can simply upload all your tests which can be viewed online and via email this allows for real-time tracking of tests which means when workers are in the field testing anyone with that link Live account can see the results immediately all right the next test we're going to talk about is the switch test simply plug an ethernet cable from a switch into the top of the tester click on the switch icon and from here it reveals all of your switch information which includes the name of the switch IP address link speed and VLAN ID now let's move on to the cable test so first plug an ethernet cable into the top of the tester and make sure the other end of the ethernet cable is not plugged in to the network then click on to the cable test icon and then click Start this cable test reveals open shorts Mis wires and split Pairs and you can test all types of Ethernet from cat 5e all the way to CAD 8 and this includes structured and patch cable testing and this test also allows you to locate cable runs using toning switchboard advertisement light blinking and remote cable identifiers to perform these tests the other end of the ethernet cable must be plugged in to the network via switch or router so for instance you can flash a port with this test which can reveal where an unknown cable is plugged into and you can also use the ethernet map feature as well this test will help reveal where a port goes to in your network okay the next test is the Ping TCP test and once again make sure the ethernet cable is plugged into your tester and into your network then click on the Ping test and hit start this test reveals the scent received and lost packets and it also indicates response times the next test is the Lambert test when used in conjunction with another Lambert compatible net Ally tester this app generates and measures the transmission of line rate ethernet frames over your network cabling infrastructure qualifying its ability to support 1G on fiber and 10 megabits per second 100 megabits per second or 1G on copper links in order to determine the maximum are free bandwidth possibly preventing costly and unnecessary cabling upgrades saving you time and money and lastly let's look at the reflector app which enables you to conduct endtoend Network performance tests when used with other net Ali tools like link Runner 10g etherscope nxg and cyberscope CE this mode validates Network throughput capabilities up to 1 gbits per second so after using the link runner at3000 for about 4 weeks here is my full review first let's talk about the pros and then we'll talk about the cons without a doubt the auto test feature on the at3000 is the best I've ever seen on any network cable tester it's fast easy and comprehensive and adding profiles for different networking scenarios is very simple I've reviewed many different testers and none of them come close to this in-depth of analysis and the auto test feed is a must for networking professionals this will be your go-to test every time and speaking of networking professionals the switch Discovery is a must this feature once again provides a comprehensive analysis of the switch that the cable is connected to including the name of the switch the port the link speed the IP address and the VLAN and that's pretty thorough the link live feature is another home run when it comes to sharing networking results reports and Analysis in real time this real-time sharing of reports and Analysis can make a networking company more valuable and boost profits we know time is money and nobody wants to wait around for hours or even days for important networking results especially if your network is down or unstable and the cable test feature is another fantastic tool to test your cat 5e or cat 6 and with the at3000 you can test cat 6A cat 7 and yes cat 8 and many other testers in this market cannot do that and in terms of battery life you'll get 8 hours on a full charge and that's excellent and you also have the ability to add additional apps in the App Store as well pretty cool and lastly the size and the weight of the at3000 is comfortable and easy to carry especially with the holster so this tester is definitely made for on the- go so now let's talk about a few things I don't like about the at3000 first the at3000 does not have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi right out of the box you'll have to spend $20 on a USB Wi-Fi adapter to get this tester online with the size of this tester and the price Bluetooth and Wi-Fi should already be included just saying and that brings me to the price of this tester which is $2,800 and that's the kit price without the kit it's $2,200 however if you're going to buy the at3000 then just get the kit it's well worth it even though this tester is not cheap compared to other testers in the market it's priced on par or a little bit lower than other testers one feature I wish the at3000 had was the I perf app but that feature is only available on the at4000 and the at4000 is priced at $4,300 and if you're looking for true 10 gig testing then the link Runner 10g is a great choice and that unit is priced at $5,600 and includes I perf and the last issue I have with this unit is the safp module which is designed for multimode fiber and not single mode and I have single mode fiber so I couldn't do a fiber test that's kind of a bummer however I'm guessing that net Ally sells an SFP single mode adapter so guys and gals if you're looking for a network cable tester that provides comprehensive testing of copper fiber and Poe then the at3000 is an excellent choice and of course all net Ali products are listed below and if we have a discount code it'll be there as well and with that I'll see you guys in the next video real soon high five peace
