Today, we're reviewing the LG 32-inch 4K UHD monitor. We’ll unbox it, set it up, test it, and give our full review.
If you're shopping for a 4K monitor, there are a few things to keep in mind: monitor size, panel type, refresh rate, response time, color accuracy, display brightness, and gaming features like G-Sync or FreeSync.
The LG 32UP50S monitor is an entry-level 32" 4K display that uses a VA panel offering 90% DCI-P3 color coverage. It includes built-in Waves MaxxAudio stereo speakers and a headphone jack. For gamers, it supports AMD FreeSync along with Dynamic Action Sync and Black Stabilizer. However, it only has a tilt-adjustable stand and lacks a built-in webcam—but it is VESA mount compatible.
The bezeless design looks great, and the unit weighs under 15 pounds, making it easy to move. On the back, you’ll find two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, DC power input, and a 3.5mm audio out. Assembly is straightforward—snap in the mount, secure with the built-in screw, and you’re done.
We connected the monitor to our computer using the DisplayPort for better bandwidth and screen quality. Testing started with 4K video playback. The image was crisp, vibrant, and clearly superior to our 1080p Samsung monitor. The built-in speakers also performed well with decent clarity and volume.
Next, we tested gaming on a PS5 with Call of Duty and Gran Turismo. Call of Duty ran smoothly with only slight distortion in fast-action scenes. Gran Turismo showed a bit of color dullness, but visuals remained sharp and enjoyable.
Let’s recap the pros and cons:
Overall, this monitor delivers excellent performance for the price. Both the 32UP50S and 32UP50SB are identical in specs. Check the description below for purchase links. Also, consider supporting us on Patreon and following us on Instagram—we’ll be doing giveaways soon!
