An adjustable standing desk can help alleviate or even eliminate that pain. Today, we're reviewing the Maga adjustable standing desk from Bullies to see if it lives up to the hype.
I’ve had this desk for about a week, and I’ll cover the assembly process, build quality, keypad functions, adjustments, included accessories, and any downsides.
Assembly & Build Quality: The desk consists of just six or seven parts: the desktop, two legs, two feet, a keypad, and three cables. Full assembly took less than an hour, and it comes with all necessary tools. Every component is made of durable metal, except the desktop, which is plastic—but a solid one. The desk is extremely sturdy with hardly any wobble.
The maximum load capacity is 265 lbs. Yes, you can sit on it.
Keypad & Adjustments: The six-button keypad includes up and down controls, three customizable height presets, and a save button. You can fine-tune the height from 61 cm to 127 cm. Any button will stop the desk while it's moving. The desk operates with dual motors—one in each leg—making it nearly silent. It also has anti-collision features that detect resistance and stop or reverse the motion to prevent injury or damage.
Accessories: You get three magnetic accessories: a durable hook, three cable straps, and a large magnetic cable tray. These are high-quality and easy to install. The tray can house a surge protector that powers all your devices.
Downsides: I would prefer a longer desktop—something closer to 70 inches instead of the current 55. I’d also love a remote control for convenience. Lastly, the $600 price tag may feel steep, but considering the premium build and features, it’s worth it.
Final Thoughts: I give the Maga standing desk 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you have back pain like I do, this desk is a must-have. It looks great, is built to last, and can dramatically improve your workspace comfort.
