Keter 165-Gallon Deck Box Assembly & Review

harvey one is the season for the great outdoors and today we're going to take a look at a deck box from ketter i'm mike and this is the ultimate tech hub [Music] this deck box is a 165 gallon wood look plastic resin with easy opening lid this box has a large interior with durable metal reinforced construction this box comes with a secure closed hydraulic lid that is lockable however the lock is not included and ketter claims this is easy to assemble and we're going to find out if that's true let's get started and don't forget hit subscribe to keep this channel alive [Music] so first thing you want to do is get all the contents out of the box this comes with a top lid a bottom piece a small box of hardware two end pieces and a front and back piece this also includes two metal beams that will insert into the front and back piece which will add strength to the box and these are the instructions and this is the small box of hardware this box contains four end caps for the side pieces and the two hydraulic mechanisms that open and close the top it also includes a lock latch and some screws so just a heads up the hardest part of this install was inserting these metal beams into the front and back piece the main issue is that it's really a tight fit and make sure to wear some gloves otherwise you might get cut on the metal pieces and once the metal rods are inserted make sure the metal rods are sticking out the same distance on each side okay now onto step three insert all four end caps into the side pieces these end caps go in real easily and they lock in place [Music] okay now step four place one of the end pieces down grab the piece labeled fdp and simply insert into the end piece you'll feel it and hear it snap in and next do the same with the other piece now it's time for step six connect the piece r05 into the end piece next snap in the side pieces into the ro5 piece now it's time for step seven add the other end piece simply line everything up and all the pieces should snap in [Music] okay it's time for step nine let's connect the hydraulic latches each hydraulic latch is connected with two screws just insert the latch into the groove and line up the holes and for some reason my camera was off when i did the other latch sorry about that and this piece just snaps in next we'll attach the lock latch just one screw next place the lid on top of the box and line up the latch with the holes in the side of the box you may need someone to hold the lid while you're connecting the latch and both latches connect with two screws do the same with the other side next connect the other lock latch to the box just one screw and this piece in the back of the box needs two screws and we're all done and i have to say this was a pretty easy assembly the trickiest part was inserting the metal rods into the front and back pieces otherwise it was an easy assembly i love the feel of the hydraulic latch it doesn't feel cheap so now i fill the box with my pool supplies so guys if you're in the market for a deck box that's durable and looks good and can hold a lot of stuff then this deck box could be the one for you there'll be a link in the description below to where you can buy this deck box and once again i want to thank you guys for watching if you like this video give a thumbs up and share it if you love it hit subscribe to keep this channel alive thanks again for watching [Music] you
